Missions is an exciting area of ministry at our church. We know that God not only wants to minister to us, He also wants to
minister through us. Here at New Hope United Methodist Church, we are answering God's call by reaching out both locally and
internationally. Our primary goal is to bring the name of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him and to demonstrate His love,
compassion and saving grace.
Mission Teams provide oversight and planning for ministry in the community and
beyond. The congregation reaches out in dozens of ways to its neighbors in New Hope, the Carolinas and all over the world. From
the
Food Pantry Ministry;
Prayer Shawl Ministry; to other special
events we seek to be the hands and feet of God in so many ways. There is a place for all to serve.
Missions reminds us that the church is not just a building. Jesus did not stay in one place and missions doesn’t either.
No matter what your skills are, you are needed. Whether you have an hour and are a electrician, or you have a week and you are a
"people person", missions will fill your heart and your mind. That’s how it changes people, by showing them how
God can use them as they were created. You don’t have to become someone else, just be everything that God created you to be.
If you would like more information about being part of a Missions Team please see our Pastor on Sunday.
